I Am Predicting Virat Kohli Will Score A Hundred Somewhere Along The Line – Brad Hogg

Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg feels that a big score, a hundred, for Virat Kohli is around the corner and the right-hander should soon end his three-digit drought which extends from November 2019.

Kohli has scored 124 runs in the three Tests so far against England; at Headingley he failed to convert his fifty into a hundred, once again edging the delivery outside off-stump.

However, Brad Hogg observed Kohli had made changes in his technique in his last innings – which brought him immense success on the 2018 tour – and is set to record a century soon.

“I am predicting that Virat Kohli will score a hundred somewhere along the line. I just think he has realized what difference was there in his technique two years ago from what it is now. I just saw in the final innings that there were slight adjustments in the way he set up. When Virat Kohli gets in the right, he doesn’t take time to turn it around.

“So, for me, watch out for a big score from Virat Kohli,” Brad Hogg said in a video uploaded on his Youtube channel.

Kohli is a skipper that Australia and England fear: Brad Hogg

While Kohli may not be at his best as a batsman, he has become India’s most successful captain – statistically, at least with 37 wins under his belt; he is also the first Asian captain to register a Test series win in Australia.

On Kohli’s aggressive leadership, Brad Hogg said big teams such as Australia and England “fear” him as he “imposes himself on the opposition”. The former chinaman spinner backs the Delhi-born and his side to make a strong comeback after the loss in Leeds.

“I think Virat Kohli is a very good skipper. I think he is a skipper that Australia and England fear. He just imposes himself on the opposition. We have had just one loss here, so this is where you start asking questions.

“What sets good leaders apart from mediocre leaders is the way that they come back from adversity. But I know England fear Virat Kohli by the way he imposes himself in the middle,” Hogg concluded.

With the series level at 1-1, both teams travel to London; the fourth Test at the Kia Oval starts on September 2.
