Archie Gray declares Celtic love in Tottenham signing video as transfer excitement ramped up by Ange Postecoglou

Archie Gray has just signed for Tottenham in a massive £40million deal - but has immediately declared his love for Celtic.

Spurs have swooped to sign the talented teen from Leeds after he impressed in the Championship and have splashed out big on the England under-21s star. The midfielder, who can also play at right-back, was unveiled as a Tottenham player this morning and was delighted to get the deal done.

To add to the excitement for him he will of course be playing under former Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou, who swapped Parkhead for London last summer. Prior to that, he had a transformational effect on Celts after taking over a side who finished miles behind Rangers to winning five trophies of the six on offer.

The style in which that was achieved was something that also helped massively win over all Celtic fans, and Gray was no different. The 18-year-old is the son of former Scotland international Andy and grandson and great nephew of Leeds legends Frank and Eddie, respectively. He has made no attempts to hide his Hoops allegiances in his signing video.

On the prospect of working with Postecoglou, he said: "I’m not going to lie to you, I’m a massive Celtic fan so I love him. My whole family loves him. I haven't really said this, to be fair!"

Gray is eligible for Scotland but his ambitions appear to lie with trying to get into the full England set-up after working his way through their youths to the 21s.
