Liverpool duo Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah are reportedly set to miss out on a spot in the England squad for Euro 2024.

The duo were named as part of Gareth Southgate's provisional 33-man squad ahead of the tournament, which begins later this month. The Three Lions have friendly matches against Iceland and Bosnia & Herzegovina in the build-up to the tournament, with the latter ending in a 3-0 victory on Monday night.

England must trim their 33-man provisional squad to 26 names by midnight on Friday, the same day in which Southgate's side face Iceland at Wembley in their final game before heading to Germany.

However, reports have now emerged claiming that both Jones and Quansah will not be part of Southgate's final 26-man squad.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has already been withdrawn from the squad ahead of the tournament. A total of seven players are set to miss out, with more likely to be confirmed before the final 26-man squad is officially named.

The tournament will see the Three Lions face Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia in the group stages, and Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez look likely to be Liverpool's only representatives in the squad.

With Jones and Quansah set to miss out, it is set to give the duo time to recover ahead of Arne Slot's first summer as Liverpool's new head coach. The Dutchman started his role on Saturday, with pre-season set to start next month before the club embarks on a summer tour of the US.
