Arsenal continue to monitor Riccardo Calafiori closely and are reportedly considering joining the race for his signature as Jakub Kiwior's future is put into doubt.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer after being one of only a few positives for Italy at Euro 2024. Arsenal are being tipped to consider a centre-back addition to cover for and challenge duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Meanwhile, £20million signing Kiwior is being linked with an exit amid interest from Juventus. It is said that the Italian giants would be keen to offer Arsenal a deal that includes former Liverpool player Arthur Melo plus cash for the Poland international.

With that said, there is a possibility that Arsenal would be open to parting ways with Kiwior to pave way for Calafiori. The Telegraph states that the Gunners' recruitment team has been impressed with the Italian defender and there would be means for negotiations as Bologna technical director Giovanni Sartori has suggested that he will consider selling him this summer.

"At this moment we will try to keep him," Sartori said. "If important requests were to arrive we will have to think about it.

"I am not saying that we will sell him because the president has said that he wants to keep the whole team, but we will certainly make some evaluations. I do not think he will go to Juventus, maybe to a different market, but I repeat that we would like to try to keep him."

Juventus are also in the race to sign him, though a move there is 'unlikely', with Bologna not willing to sanction a transfer that would help their rivals. "I don't think he will go to Juventus, he will probably go to a different market," Sartori added.

Meanwhile, Italian publication Gazzetta says the interest in Calafiori has seen his price tag grow from £34m to £43m. In case a transfer materialises, his former club Basel will be entitled to 40% of his transfer fee.
