Arsenal continue to tick away behind the scenes as Euro 2024 clicks into gear. On Sunday, Arsenal were well represented as Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice started for England in their Group C win over Serbia.

The focus is on ending their five-decade wait for major tournament success, but back in the capital, the transfer window is open, and the Gunners will be working to bolster their squad in the hope of giving Mikel Arteta the tools to usurp Manchester City.

Players from all over the world and across the football pitch are continuing to be linked with a move to North London. Benjamin Sesko was fiercely linked until he committed his future to RB Leipzig, and the 21-year-old showed why he was so sought-after in an eye-catching display during Slovenia's 1-1 draw with Denmark.

With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

Arsenal mooted for Artem Dovbyk snoop

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Girona striker Artem Dovbyk. Diari de Girona has claimed that the Gunners are among the European sides looking into a move for last season's La Liga top goalscorer.

The outlet discusses how the Ukranian was a bargain after signing from SK Dnipro-1 for a fee in the region of €8million (£6m) last summer. Twelve months on, it has been claimed that he will only be allowed to leave if a club goes close to the release clause, which is in the region of €40m (£33m) to €50m (£42m).

The 26-year-old becomes the latest striker linked with a move to Arsenal as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attack.

football.london says: Dovbyk caught many by surprise with his exploits in a record-breaking season for Girona. The astute piece of business from the Spanish side could land them a significant profit, with Arsenal among the clubs reportedly interested. Although it doesn't feel like it would be the perfect piece of business from Mikel Arteta's side. The Gunners are linked with the likes of Xavi Simons, among others, and there is a certain profile for the rumoured targets, as well as the fact that Arsenal are looking for a versatile forward as opposed to an out-and-out number nine, which Dovbyk is. The Ukrainian would be a brilliant addition for Arsenal if he were to sign, but it feels that this speculation doesn't fit with the needs and demands at the Emirates Stadium right now.

Bukayo Saka sends England critic message

There were question marks over Bukayo Saka's inclusion in the England starting line-up prior to their 1-0 win over Serbia, but the Arsenal star more than proved the doubters wrong.

It was a game of two halves in Gelsenkirchen after a dominant first half was followed by a nervy final 45, with Jordan Pickford making a crucial save to keep the Serbian opponents at bay.

England led in the 13th minute when Saka beat his marker and delivered a delicious cross, which was crashed home by Jude Bellingham. Declan Rice played the entirety of the Group C opener and was a crucial member of the midfield that restored calm for the three Lions.

football.london says: Jude Bellingham will steal the headlines, but Arsenal supporters can feel a sense of pride as well as jubilation for the result after the performances from two of their star players on Sunday night. Saka was a constant threat down the right-hand side in the first half, and although it was a difficult second half as Serbia pushed for an equaliser, there are early signs that England can depend upon the winger and is already one to worry about for opponents.
