How Arsenal could line up against Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge

Arsenal will look to bounce back from FA Cup disappointment when they face Chelsea in the second of three January games as the London rivals meet in the EFL Cup semi-final.

Antonio Conte's Blues needed a last-minute Alvaro Morata goal to see off Bournemouth in a nervy 2-1 quarter-final win at Stamford Bridge, while Arsenal sealed a 1-0 victory over West Ham to set up this mouth-watering two-legged tie.

There are high expectations of both teams after an exciting 2-2 Premier League draw earlier this month, and both coaches will be chasing silverware with the Premier League title unlikely this year.

Manchester City came from behind to beat Championship Bristol City in the first of the semi-finals on Tuesday night, with Sergio Aguero heading home an injury time winner against the Robins.

With a tantalising final against the runaway Premier League leaders in the offing, and the chance to redeem themselves from the humiliation at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup at the weekend, it’s more than likely Arsenal will name a strong side.

Here is how the Gunners could line-up according to Standard Sport’s James Olley…

Ospina, Mustafi, Koscielny, Holding, Bellerin, Wilshere, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Ozil, Sanchez, Lacazette
