Arsenal are reportedly among the clubs battling for Paris Saint-Germain starlet Xavi Simons. The 21-year-old has a wrath of teams lining up for his signature after impressing on loan at RB Leipzig.

Simons is currently on international duty with Holland as they look to have a strong tournament at this summer's European Championships. The Dutchman started in their group opener against Poland, where they won 2-1 thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo and Wout Weghorst.

Arsenal are likely to be busy during the summer transfer window and are looking for a versatile front man as opposed to an out-and-out striker. Already, the Gunners have been linked with the likes of Artem Dovbyk, Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee, to name a few.

L'Equipe have claimed that there could be a bidding war between English clubs for the talent. They claim that Manchester United and Manchester City are interested, with Bayern Munich also contacting the French giants.

However, there is a potential sticking point from the Parisiens perspective, as the report claims they are reluctant to sell him before January 2025 as PSV Eindhoven would receive a significant portion of the fee. But Simons could still move this summer, albeit on loan, with the 21-year-old having the final say.

Simons scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in his debut season in the Bundesliga last year. It has been suggested that Luis Enrique's side could demand a fee in the region of £51million. But claims elsewhere have suggested that the PSG boss values him highly.
