Ivy Hayward’s family set up the GoFundMe page to help pay for the treatment for their daughter, who has undergone MRI scans and biopsies in the search for a diagnosis.
None has been found yet, but the family are hoping to raise money as they continue for answers and to help improve Ivy’s treatment.
“I am still unable to sit and play, crawl or weight bare which means I need constant support with all aspects of my life,” explains the post on Ivy’s GoFundMe page.
“Some people may find it frustrating not having a diagnosis but I know there is no magic pill to 'fix me’. I realise that it’s the early intervention and ongoing therapies that will help me progress, access and understand the world.”
A target of £10,000 has been set and Aubameyang has stepped in to help the family achieve their goal. The 31-year-old donated £2,000 to the cause and now more donors are coming forward too.
The money will be used to help pay for Ivy to attend weekly physiotherapy sessions, have monthly speech and language therapy and possibly purchase an iKAN brace - which helps keep people aligned so they can sit, stand and walk.
