Arsenal vs Benfica - LIVE!

The Gunners are through to the last-16 of the Europa League after a truly dramatic evening in the Greek capital of Athens.

Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored an 87th-minute winner on the night to keep Arsenal’s season alive.

Aubameyang had initially given Mikel Arteta’s side the lead at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium on Thursday night, only for Diogo Goncalves to equalise with a stunning free-kick on the stroke of half-time.

A bad error from Dani Ceballos then allowed Rafa Silva to score again for Benfica, who looked to be going through on away goals even after Kieran Tierney had quickly hit back for Arsenal.

However, skipper Aubameyang silenced his critics by heading home Bukayo Saka’s back-post cross three minutes from time to put the Gunners into the hat for Friday’s last-16 draw in Nyon, Switzerland.
