Arsenal XI vs Tottenham: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for north London derby

Arsenal will be boosted by a relatively clean bill of health and a few extra days rest ahead of Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.

The Gunners' match against Leicester on Tuesday was their seventh in 21 days, but following that they will have had four days to prepare for Spurs - who were in action against Bournemouth on Thursday evening.

As a result, Mikel Arteta is expected to field the same side against Tottenham that drew 1-1 with Leicester at Emirates Stadium.

The opening 45 minutes of that fixture was some of the best football Arsenal have played under Arteta and, had it not been for Foxes goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, the hosts could have been two or three goals up at half-time.

One area of selection that is up for debate is right wing-back, with Cedric Soares pushing hard to beat Hector Bellerin for a starting spot.

Further forward, Nicolas Pepe is fighting to start over Bukayo Saka but Alexandre Lacazette should lead the line in the absence of the suspended Eddie Nketiah.
