Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope to make it back-to-back critical wins when Manchester United battle Atalanta in the Champions League tonight.

A difficult European campaign for the Red Devils has seen Cristiano Ronaldo hit two late winners, including a comeback from two goals down to beat the Italians at Old Trafford in October.

Atalanta sit level on four points with Villarreal, behind United on six ahead of the game. A 2-2 draw with Lazio in Serie A on Saturday sends Gian Piero Gasperini’s team into the game on a three-game unbeaten run since the reverse fixture.

Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford were on the scoresheet for Solskjaer’s huge reprieve in North London. A victory would represent a huge step towards the last-16.

Atalanta vs Man United is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off tonight - Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

Atalanta vs Man United prediction

The win over Tottenham has boosted the Red Devils’ confidence but Atalanta are a far more resilient side who truly scared Solskjaer and Co at Old Trafford.

Still, United should have enough to win but goals may not be hard to come by.

United win, 2-1.
