Celtic kick-off their busy pre-season schedule on Friday night when they make the trip to face Ayr United.

The Hoops have been invited to Somerset Park to mark the opening of the club's new North Stand, with a sell-out crowd expected. Brendan Rodgers and Scott Brown created history together at Parkhead by racking up Treble after Treble but tonight they square off against one another in opposite dugouts.

Broony - now in his second managerial job after his sacking at Fleetwood Town - tested himself against Rangers in last season's Scottish Cup defeat at Ibrox. And now he'll face one of his mentors, although this time he'll be given a rapturous reception from the opposition fans.

Here, Football Scotland tells you everything you need to know ahead of the friendly game.
