Baker sets record at Holland Halls

Mar. 4—Tahlequah Tigers senior Trae Baker continued his strong season at Holland Halls on Saturday, March 2, setting the record at Holland Halls in the 800 meter. THS sent just a handful of athletes this weekend.

Baker opened the meet winning the 800m with a time of 1:54.96 for first and the meet record. Baker then followed that up with a first place finish in the 1600m with a time of 4:22.80. Baker's record setting time is his second of the season. Baker's mile time was just .7 second off from the school record.

McKenna Hood added a fifth place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:29.43. Tori Pham set a new personal record with a time of 2:33 in the 800m. Sadie Stanglin threw a 33'5" shot put for her own new personal record.

THS will be back in action at Glenpool at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 15. The Tahlequah junior high team kicks off their season on Thursday, March. 7.
