The Ultimate Fighting Championship is working hard and heavy this week on fleshing out its upcoming fight cards. The latest addition is a battle between bantamweight powerhouses Brad Pickett and Mike Easton.

Pickett vs. Easton will take place at UFC on Fuel TV 9 on April 6 when the promotion returns to Stockholm, Sweden.

UFC officials informed MMAWeekly.com of the bout early Thursday morning.

Pickett and Easton will both be looking to get back on the track to the title with a victory in Sweden.

Pickett (22-7) had put back-to-back victories together over Damacio Page and Yves Jabouin after being submitted by current interim UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barão.

Any momentum he had was derailed by a recent split decision loss to Eddie Wineland at UFC 155 to close out 2012.

Easton (13-2) was also starting to be mentioned as “in the mix” for a title shot. He was riding the wave of an eight-fight winning streak, including his first three UFC bouts, before Raphael Assuncao put up a roadblock by defeating him at UFC on Fox 5 in December.

Swede Alexander Gustafsson will once again headline the UFC event in his home country. Gunning for a title shot of his own in the near future, Gustafsson puts his hopes on the line against former Strikeforce and Dream champion Gegard Mousasi, who is making his Octagon debut.
