Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has refused to rule out a move for Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

The France World Cup winner has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp amid speculation over his future at Old Trafford.

Like Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, Pogba was one of United’s stars who shone at the World Cup away from Mourinho, and question marks remain about how the Portuguese can get the best out of his star midfielder.

However, while Valverde admitted he is an admirer of Pogba, he was careful not to add fuel to the fire regarding the former Juventus man’s United sutuation.

“Paul Pogba is obviously a great player, but we respect those who are at other clubs,” Valverde said.

“I do not really have any comments to make on the rumours that are circulating around – they are just rumours.

“There are a lot of names that always get circulated around in the rumour mill – all of them are good players and we respect them themselves but we also respect the clubs they are currently at.”
