Jan. 12—It's cold, but that doesn't mean there's no options for a bit of fun in the Columbia Basin.

Jan. 13

The Art of Grazing Workshop

Join nosh. and Camas Cove Cellars for an evening of wine and grazing. Learn how to make your own beautiful grazing board with nosh. with step-by-step instructions to enhance your hosting skills, while enjoying wine from Camas Cove Cellars to pair with your meats and cheeses. Workshop includes grazing board tutorial, one glass of wine, pairing ideas, photo op and tips on how to take pictures of your board. There will be a giveaway at the end of the workshop. Jan. 14

Chili cook-off

Competitive slots are filled, but the public is invited to serve as judges at the Moses Lake Taproom's first annual chili cook-off. Tasting cups and silverware will be provided by the host, as well as a ballot for each guest. Each contestant will have a chili name tag to list the name of their chili and a rating for heat level. Guests will fill out a ballot for each chili and rate them on a point system. Prizes will be awarded to the top three chefs. 1-3 p.m. at the Moses Lake Taproom, 530 W. Valley Road. Rustic Snowman

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Annual Celebration

The community is invited to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This event promises to be an evening filled with entertainment, inspiration and reflection. We believe that coming together as a community to honor Dr. King's legacy is a powerful way to promote unity and understanding. Program events will include a keynote speaker, local church choirs, a video on the history of Dr. King, announcements for the winners of the Moses Lake School District K-2 coloring contest and the 3-6 essay writing competition and a Dreamers in Action performance. 5 p.m. at the Moses Lake Civic Center auditorium, 401 S. Friends of the Library book sale

Dancing with the Moses Lake Stars

Join the Central Basin Community Concert Association in raising funds for music and music education in the Columbia Basin. Six local talents will participate in a dance competition, with audience members voting for their favorites. The winner receives the coveted mirror ball trophy — and bragging rights. 7 p.m. at the Big Bend Community College Wallenstien Theater, 6989 College Parkway NE, Moses Lake. Third Friday Beginner's Jam
