Ben Siegrist admits he's planning for life after Celtic as the goalkeeper seeks a summer exit.

The Hoops are on the lookout for a new No1 following the retirement of Joe Hart but frozen out Siegrist knows he won't be the man to replace the legendary keeper between the sticks. The Swiss shotstopper, 31, is currently holidaying in Australia where he plans to move with reality TV star Brittany Hockley after the pair just got engaged.

In a wide-ranging interview with Blick, the former Dundee United star opened up on his frustrations at being third-choice keeper at Parkhead. Siegrist still has two years to run on his contract in Glasgow but hinted a departure could be imminent as he plans ahead for the future.

He said: "After my last day at work, I'll leave as soon as possible. And I'll never come back here (to Celtic). No. I'm going to retire there (Australia). But not yet. Britt has already indicated that she could do her podcast from Europe. We're excited."

Siegrist has been the subject of interest elsewhere in the last couple of windows, but a move hasn't materialised. However, as Brendan Rodgers looks to trim his bloated squad this summer, the giant stopper is one that the Scottish champions are ready to part ways with - potentially leaving Scott Bain as their only recognised goalkeeper as the search for Hart's successor continues.
