Reiss Nelson

Recounting his loan spell at Feyenoord during the 2021/22 season, the Arsenal winger fondly reflected: "Holland was great for me. I felt like Arne Slot is a great manager. He really got me into my rhythm. He gave me a lot of opportunities to play and I excelled."

He continued: "It was really cool, like I said we got to the final. It was just the little things with the personal life, not my family around, the Corona situation. So it was a bit tough. But football-wise, it was perfect."

Alireza Jahanbakhsh

Former Brighton star Alireza Jahanbakhsh has heaped praise on Feyenoord's manager Arne Slot, crediting him for his development during their time together at AZ. "During my time at AZ, as assistant coach, Arne Slot, was one of the people who helped me to become a better player," Jahanbakhsh said after his move to Feyenoord.

He didn't hesitate when Slot called about the transfer: "So when he called and asked if I wanted to come to Feyenoord, I told him I was going to do everything I could to make this transfer. I had no doubts."

The Iranian forward went on to describe Slot as "the best" in the Netherlands, saying: "He is one of the best managers I've ever seen. In football terms, even the best. At the moment, he is the best in the Netherlands."

Zeljko Petrovic

Zeljko Petrovic, a former Feyenoord assistant, also lauded Slot's impact: "The fitness of the team, the way of playing with a lot of pressure, high pace and a good structure in the team. What he does is unprecedented," Petrovic remarked. "I find it a pleasure to watch. In addition, Slot has the goodwill factor. A neat boy, good with his words. Fantastic."

Danilo

Ex-Feyenoord striker Danilo shared his positive experience working with Slot after Erik ten Hag, praising the personal attention he received. "After Ten Hag, I now have a very good trainer again," Danilo told Voetbal International.

Myron Boadu

Myron Boadu has been vocal about the meticulous coaching style of his mentor, stating: "Slot is constantly working with me. It's always about what needs to be improved, everything in detail. A step to the left or right can make the difference. Then he says, 'Why aren't you standing there or there, at that moment?' Details, details. Slot misses nothing."

Reflecting on his time under Arne Slot at AZ, Boadu shared his admiration and regret over his departure: "It's a shame. It all went great at AZ, Arne is a fantastic person and a fantastic trainer, who really let us play football in the style of Manchester City or Barcelona in the good times," said Boadu.
