CRICKET fans who want to pay their own tribute to former Worcestershire County Cricket player Josh Baker can do so at the club's ground.

Baker, a spin bowler for Worcestershire, died unexpectedly at the age of 20.

He had been in action for the second team only the previous day where he successfully took three wickets.

Tributes flooded in from the cricketing world to pay homage to Baker, who made his professional debut for Worcestershire back in 2021.

Among them, ex-Worcestershire cricket captain Daryl Mitchell described Baker as an "infectious character", while another former team-mate Usama Mir said he was "one of the nicest people you could meet".

Worcestershire County Cricket Club announced this morning (Friday) that it would be opening up its Severn Suite to allow fans to stop by and pay their own respects to Baker.

A book of condolences will also be open in memory of the spin bowler for people to sign.

"Our Severn Suite is open today for anyone who would like to stop by for a quiet moment or sign a book of condolence in memory of Josh," the club said on X (formally Twitter).
