Borna Barisic has send an emotional goodbye to Rangers and their supporters after ending his six year stay.

The left-back left Ibrox at the end of last season after his contract expired and is now poised to sign for Trabzonspor along with former Gers pal John Lundstram. Barisic was brought to Glasgow in 2018 by Steven Gerrard and was a key player in his early seasons, a strong attacking threat from full-back.

His influence waned over the last couple of years and last season Ridvan Yilmaz had taken over as the first pick in that position. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old has special memories from his time in Scotland and says the club means so much to him. He's sent a lovely message to their fans.

Barisic said: "It's never easy to say goodbye especially to something that means that much to you like Rangers FC means to me and my family. I want to thank everyone in the club and around the club for everything that you did for me and my family in last six years.

"Thank you to all my teammates, coaching staff and all staff in the club for everything. I made friends and memories for life at the end just want to say thank you to the all fans because our relationship was fantastic always and always will be.

"I will always follow you and support Rangers. Never surrender my friends, love you from deep of my heart."
