Brazil will be without Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles against South Korea as both players have been ruled out of the World Cup owing to injury. The Brazilians will be hoping to have Neymar available after he missed their last two games with an ankle sprain.

Brazil showed what they are capable of with two solid victories over Serbia and Switzerland but their manager, Tite, will be keen to see his side return to top gear after losing to Cameroon 1-0 to close the group stages.

Failure to do so could see them come unstuck against a well-drilled and motivated South Korea side, who beat Portugal in their final group match to secure qualification.

Led by their talisman Son Heung-min, the Koreans cannot rival Brazil for overall quality but will certainly match them for commitment and intensity.

What is our prediction?

Jason Burt, in Doha, does not see the favourites losing this:

"Brazil remain the team to beat at this World Cup and even their second string were unlucky to lose against Cameroon. Their defence is very strong and they look fully in control. It was all a bit frantic for Korea to get through the group, showing incredible spirit, but it would be a major surprise if they stop the Selecao."

How have Brazil fared so far?

Five-time world champions Brazil started their campaign with a 2-0 win over Serbia. Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison, who was on crutches just three weeks before the squad was announced, was named player of the match after scoring both goals.

His spectacular bicycle kick sealed victory for his side, with his goal an early contender for the strike of the tournament.

Tite's side continued their winning ways in their second match against Switzerland with a 1-0 victory, followed by a 1-0 loss to Cameroon in their final group game.

How have South Korean got on?

South Korea began their tournament with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Uruguay, a game they very well could have won had they taken their chances.

That was followed by a narrow 3-2 loss to Ghana in what was one of the best matches of the entire group stages.

Knowing they had to win to have any chance of securing qualification heading into the last group game, South Korea left it late against Portugal, with a 90th-minute winner from Hwang Hee-chan eventually sending them through.
