Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has shared plans for a Malcolm in the Middle reunion.

The actor, who previously revealed a reunion of the show had been discussed, told GQ that he's "curious" about what Hal, Lois, Malcolm, Francis, Reese, Dewey, and Jamie are up to now.

"I'm curious about that family 20 years later," Cranston said. "What happened to them? Where are they? What are the kids doing? They're grown men now."

Previously Cranston told The Independent that a Malcolm in the Middle reunion was a "possibility," adding: "[Creator Linwood Boomer] said he would think about it, and he got his writers together. If they can come up with a great idea, a legitimate idea, then he'll pursue it.

"If not, then nah. I don't need a job. I've got plenty of jobs. I don't need it, but I'd want it if it was a great idea."

Speaking about the seven years he spent playing dad Hal, he added: "It was seven years of glory. Going to work every day and making yourself and others laugh. That was my job."

Earlier this year Cranston reprised his iconic role as Breaking Bad's Walter White for a Super Bowl commercial.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about why he decided to reunite with co-star Aaron Paul, Cranston explained: "I was like, 'Yeah, I'll do that.'

"And then now we have a Super Bowl commercial for PopCorners, and it was so much fun to do. You know, in shooting a drama like that you don't have a lot of opportunities just to have fun.

"To be able to get back together with Aaron and Vince [Gilligan, Breaking Bad's creator] and the whole crew from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul to make this commercial was so much fun to do," he continued.

"Instead of crystal meth, we're baking these PopCorners [in the RV], and you know – it's a very tasty snack."
