Brendan Rodgers reflects on Celtic kit man blast as he jokingly warns 'know your place'

Brendan Rodgers has joked about his blast at Celtic kit man Stevie Wright before their penalty shootout win over Aberdeen - but did warn the staffer to "know his place".

The manager had a meltdown at Wright's attempts to converse with Paulo Bernardo before the spot-kicks following the dramatic 3-3 draw at Hampden last weekend. The kit man seemed to be hoping to talk tactics with the Portuguese before Rodgers let rip and screamed at his staff member to remove himself from the vicinity as his players got ready.

As he met the press this afternoon before this weekend's clash with Dundee, the Northern Irishman made light of the situation regarding the Hoops-daft kit man.

But it was layered with a genuine message for future reference and any of his backroom who get above their station.

"Stevie got a wee bit of a blast from me, didn't he? Bless him," Rodgers chuckled. "He's a good guy, Stevie, Celtic daft. Celtic mad. But you've got to know your place."
