Championship: Brentford technical director Robert Rowan dies aged 28
Brentford’s technical director Robert Rowan has died at the age of 28.
Rowan, who joined the Sky Bet Championship club in late 2014, was appointed to the role in February.
He previously worked as the Bees’ head of football operations.
A club statement read: "Brentford Football Club has to report the sad news that Robert Rowan died at the age of 28 on Monday, 12 November.
"All at the Club have been left devastated by the news. All our thoughts are with Robert’s wife, his family and all his friends – many of whom work at Brentford FC."
Sad news. Upon injuring my knee for the 2nd time at @BrentfordFC , Rob and the owner took me for dinner to reassure a worried young man about his future. Even extending my contract. A true gentlemen who cared. Thoughts with everyone RIP Rob.
