Bullard Baseball ranked No. 6 in Class 4A in preseason poll
Jan. 23—BULLARD — The Bullard High School baseball team is ranked No. 6 in Texas in the Texas Association of Baseball Coaches (Class 4A) Preseason Poll.
The Panthers finished 17-6 last year and were a regional finalist.
The team returns several seniors who have already signed to play collegiatly following graduation later this year.
That group is headed by David Wilson, a left handed pitcher who has inked a deal with Oklahoma University.
The five teams that are ranked ahead of the Panthers are: 1. China Spring, 2. Sinton, 3. Liberty Eylau, 4. Taylor and 5. Stephenville.
Bullard's first scrimmage will take place on February 3 when the Panthers journey to Brownsboro for a 2 p.m. game.
The Panthers will open the regular season on Feb. 22 by taking part in the Whitehouse Tournament. Bullard is coached by Robert Ellis.
