Cameron Carter Vickers Celtic transfer rumours addressed amid West Ham and Ipswich Town links

Cameron Carter-Vickers is NOT being considered by West Ham this summer.

The Celtic defender has been the standout at the back for the Hoops over the past three years and has developed into one of the strongest and consistent performers at the club. That form has brought about interested parties taking note of the USA international with clubs in the Premier League down south being mentioned as potential buyers for the coming season.

The Hammers are the latest club to be linked with a possible move for the 26-year-old but sources have told Football Scotland that no interest has been registered by Julen Lopetegui since taking over from David Moyes.

Ipswich Town are another club, newly promoted to the top flight after their stunning run in the Championship last term, who were credited with an interest in CCV but, again, Football Scotland understands he is not on their shortlist of targets albeit they do want a centre-back for their efforts in the Prem.

Carter-Vickers previously had interest from the Turkish Super Lig but nothing came of it and he stuck around last season to lift his seventh trophy at Parkhead. The big man has made 115 appearances for the Scottish champions since his initial loan stint from Tottenham was made permanent in 2022.
