Cavaliers fall to Golden City

Jan. 25—Thomas Jefferson suffered a 68-48 loss against Golden City on Thursday night at Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School.

The Cavaliers fall to 2-16 overall while the Eagles improve to 3-13.

Golden City jumped out to an 18-6 lead after one quarter and that was too much for TJ to overcome.

TJ did win the second quarter to narrow the deficit to just 10 points at 28-18. But the second half was all Golden City.

Kohl Thurman tallied 21 points to lead Thomas Jefferson and was followed by teammate Jack Twiss' 13 points.

Golden City paced by 25 from Spencer Parrill and 19 from Jamison Menadue.

Parrill and Twiss both hit three 3-pointers in the game.
