Chael Sonnen terminated from 'Celebrity Apprentice' for cheating
It hasn’t been the best week for Chael Sonnen.
The “American Gangster” was handed a one-sided loss to Tito Ortiz at Bellator 170 over the weekend and followed that loss by being tossed off “The New Celebrity Apprentice” for cheating during one of the challenges.
The former UFC star, who has never shied away from controversy, drew the ire of host Arnold Schwarzenegger when he purposefully cut a wire to a computer in an effort to give his team some extra time to put their presentation together.
“In spite of this heroic and brilliant move on my part, I didn’t feel like a big hero,” Sonnen said about his tactics. “I felt like a guy that knew if we had a technical difficulty, we had more time.”
But his teammates weren’t too fond of his cheating and told on him.
Schwarzenegger was not pleased by Sonnen’s underhanded methods and gave him a tongue lashing in the boardroom for being dishonest before delivering his new catchphrase to send the Oregon fighter home. Instead of Donald Trump’s “You’re fired,” Schwarzenegger used his own line of “You’re terminated.”
Sonnen has found himself in tough spots before, but can he bounce back from all these L’s?
