What is it?

It is the biggest game in European club football, the Uefa Champions League final.

Four teams remain in the hunt for the trophy - Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Real Madrid - and we will know the two finalists on May 5.

If both Premier League clubs progress it would be the second all-English final in three years, after Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0 in 2019.

PSG knocked out 2020 champions Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals, in a rerun of last year's final, and - like Man City - the French side are bidding for their first European Cup.

Chelsea won this competition for the only time back in 2012, while their head coach Thomas Tuchel was a beaten finalist with PSG last year. Real Madrid have claimed a record 13 European Cups - six more than any other club.

When is it?

This year's final takes place on Saturday, May 29.

Where is it?

The final will be held at Istanbul's Ataturk Olympic Stadium - the site of Liverpool's legendary comeback against AC Milan in 2005.

The stadium was due to host European football's showpiece last year but the final stages were rescheduled and moved to Lisbon due to the coronavirus crisis.

What time is kick-off?

The kick-off time has not yet been confirmed. Turkey is two hours ahead of the UK so it is expected the Champions League final will begin at 8pm BST.

What TV channel is it on?

BT Sport have exclusive Champions League rights in the UK, so if you want to watch the game via the traditional medium of television you will need to be a subscriber.

However, since 2015, BT has also shown the final free-to-air on YouTube and is expected to do so again this year. These broadcasts have attracted millions of viewers in past years.

Who is in the final?

As mentioned above, we'll know on May 4 and 5. But whoever progresses from the Manchester City vs Paris Saint-Germain semi-final is likely to start the final as the favourite.

But there are already plenty of intriguing potential storylines leading into the showpiece.

Can Pep Guardiola win his third European Cup - and first since he left Barcelona? And in the process lead Man City to the trophy their owners crave above all others?

Could Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel be plotting how to overcome his old club PSG?

Will the French side's new manager Mauricio Pochettino have a chance to make up for his loss with Tottenham in 2019?

Or will Real Madrid simply add a 14th European Cup to their trophy cabinet?

We'll know the answers soon enough.

What are the odds?

  • Manchester City 11/8

  • Paris Saint-Germain 3/1

  • Chelsea 3/1

  • Real Madrid 9/2
