Champions League Semi-Finals Team of the Week

We now know our Champions League finalists: Barcelona and Juventus, who will compete to win the prestigious European Cup on June 6 in Berlin - make sure you join us on UFL for it!

Barcelona and Juventus won their first leg ties, with Bayern and Real Madrid coming back stronger in the second legs. So, who makes the UFL Champions League Team of the Week for the 12/13th of March?

RB: Dani Carvajal - 85 points - The Spanish right back was in our UFL recommended picks, and didn’t disappoint. He made 4 key passes worth 16 points, but unfortunately for Ancelotti’s side, none of those could force the second goal.

CB: Sergio Ramos - 82 points - As Real Madrid went looking for a second goal, Ramos kept things tight at the back. He made 4 tackles worth 16 points, and another 4 interceptions worth 16. Last season he made a crucial impact at the other end, but wasn’t able to manage it this time round.

CB: Medhi Benatia - 157 points - Bayern’s defence were heavily criticised after a string of defensive errors led to handing Barcelona two important away-goals. But it wasn’t all bad for Benatia, who made 8 interceptions worth 24 points, 3 tackles and 8 defensive clearances from danger.

LB: Marcelo - 108 points - Most of Real Madrid’s attacks started down the left hand side through the lively Brazilian full-back. He made 4 great dribbles worth 16 points, and contributed well defensively, making 5 tackles.

CM: Xabi Alonso - 102 points - Alonso almost gave an exhibition in passing, as he effortlessly sprayed the ball around the Allianz Arena. He made 71 passes in total and recorded 1 assist - another great night for one of football’s best playmakers.

CM: Bastian Schweinsteiger - 111 points - The German midfielder played wider than usual, but still gets into our team as a central midfielder. His 2 assists were worth 36 points, but unfortunately it was too little too late for Bayern.

AMR: Cristiano Ronaldo - 86 points - It wasn’t Ronaldo’s best night in a Real Madrid shirt, but he earned 40 points from converting his penalty, and another 12 for 3 key passes. But most were expecting the three time Ballon D'or winner to have an even greater influence.

AMC: Toni Kroos - 95 points - Kroos has been one of the most consistent point scorers in the Champions League this season, and he delivered again with 64 passes and 3 tackles contributing to another impressive score. Who will we pick in the final without Kroos?!

AML: Neymar - 118 points - You might be able to stop one or two parts of the best frontline in Europe, but it appears you can’t stop all three. It was Neymar in goalscoring form against Bayern, finishing his two chances expertly.

ST: Thomas Muller - 103 points Bayern put up a determined effort against Barca, and no player made more happen than Thomas Muller. His work ethic and finishing ensured Bayern won on the night, even if they were ultimately knocked out by Barcelona.

Your next chance to play UFL is on the weekend for the Premier League, including the highly anticipated Man United vs Arsenal clash on Sunday!
