Cheer squad to return as world champions as people encouraged to welcome them home

A WEST Cumbrian cheerleading squad are returning home as World Champions as the community are encouraged to turn out and welcome them home.

Cheer Force Knights will return home from the Allstar World Championship in Florida this week after being crowned 2024 World Champions.

Maryport cheerleading superstars Cheer Force Knights will be arriving back into Maryport between 3.30pm - 4.00pm tomorrow, Tuesday,  April 23.

They will be returning to their CFKM gym which is located on the (Glasson Industrial Estate) and people are encouraged to get down and support the girls as they return home as World Champions once again.

In a post on social media, Maryport Town Council said: "It would be nice if as many people as possible could go there to show their support to these world champion athletes, coaches and supporters.

"Take a flag, whistle, whatever you want to welcome them home in style. They deserve it & have certainly earned it."
