Sports fans have been given the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the Paralympics as part of a new campaign backed by athletes including Hannah Cockroft.

Cockroft is among the Paralympic legends throwing their weight behind Nestle’s ‘Bring the Cheer with Cheerios’ campaign, launched to celebrate the partnership between the cereal giants and the British Paralympic Association.

Will Perry, Jack Hunter-Spivey, Ellie Challis and Thomas Young are also among the campaign ambassadors and will use social media to showcase unique content and build support in the lead-up to the Games.

Cockroft said: “I am preparing for Paris by making sure that I eat a balanced diet, that I sleep well and that my body is well-rested and well-recovered to aid my training as much as possible.

"I am not a morning person, so I need something quick and easy and isn’t going to sit too heavy on my stomach when I’m in the race chair.

"Balance in life when you have a busy routine can be difficult. I make a lot of lists, so I don’t forget anything.

"I plan my days out by making sure that I meet up with people or that there’s someone who will hold me accountable for where I need to be.

"To me, being a Paralympic athlete means everything. It means that hard work does pay off and dreams can come true.”

The main on-pack promotion, offering shoppers a chance to win a trip to the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, includes travel, accommodation, event tickets, in-venue hospitality access, and meals.

Additionally, the campaign will feature shopper and in-store activities in major UK supermarkets.

Sarah Fordy, Head of Marketing, Cereal Partners UK – makers of Nestlé Cereals in the UK, said: “We are immensely proud of our partnership with the British Paralympic Association and launch the 'Bring the Cheer with Cheerios' campaign.

“This initiative is about more than just support, it is about rallying communities to celebrate the spirit of the Paralympics and cheer on our exceptional athletes as they compete on the world stage.

“The campaign aims to bring families and young people closer to the Paralympic experience, culminating in the chance to win an unforgettable trip to Paris 2024."
