Unlike most teams, Chelsea are still yet to release their kits for the 2024/25 season. Far from previous years when the club would sometimes wear their new jersey on the final day of a prior season, the Blues are once more looking at their tour of America being underway before the full reveal is done.

Part of the wait heading into the final weeks of June and possibly as far as mid-July is due to uncertainty over who the front-of-shirt sponsor will be. For the second year in a row, the club are yet to confirm which company will have their branding plastered over the new kits and also at Stamford Bridge.

Infinite Athlete, who weren't announced as being the primary partner until the 2023/24 season had already begun, is expected to remain involved in some form, but are unlikely to be on the front of matchday tops. This hasn't stopped leaks coming out of the shirts Chelsea could be wearing in just a few months time on the opening day against Manchester City.

In fact, evidence of physical tops have already been posted previously. Trusted kit source Footy Headlines now has what is described as 'the first real image' of the home kit. Although close to the last set of leaks, there are subtle differences here.

Including the same orange touches around the Nike logo and club badge, the design is a move away from the minimalist concept used last season. Instead, the wavy light blue curved lines are closer to the highly patterned 2021/22 kit instead.

There is no symmetry to the kit with a water-like effect coming from seemingly random curved patches on the chest. With thin white lines and lighter blue elements, the kit is certainly wavy.

Another difference to the tops leaked previously is that there is no striped collar shown here. Notably the curved lines are also more vivid on the most recent images as well.

The Chelsea badge, which was interestingly made iridescent last year, is set for another season of shiny outings. It will not be the gold-tinged style though, instead including a light blue inner shade and the aforementioned orange outline.

Fans will now have to wait for an official release of the kit.
