Chelsea may have to offer players to Nottingham Forest in their attempt to sign highly-rated centre-back Murillo. The Blues have registered an interest in the Forest centre-back , football.london understands.

Murillo, 21, moved to Forest last summer from Corinthians for around £15m, signing a five-year contract. He came into the Forest's XI after just three games and went on to play every Premier League game.

The physical centre-back was one of their standout performers, leading to interest growing before the end of the season. Due to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR), pressure has built on Nuno Espirito Santo's side to sell one of their better players to raise funds.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi have both been tipped for big-money exits since the season ended but those rumours have gone quiet. Murillo is one player Forest may be tempted to sell this summer but they are demanding a high price.

football.london understands that Chelsea have approached Forest to discuss a potential deal for Murillo but the City Ground outfit are reportedly demanding £50m for their star player. It's understood that the Blues have swiftly informed their league rivals that they will not match their valuation meaning players may be included as part of their bid.

Enzo Maresca and the Chelsea hierarchy are keen to sign a new centre-back and striker this summer. PSR restrictions do prevent them from throwing money about as much as they want meaning player-plus-cash deals could be the way forward.

Here, football.london takes a look at four players who could be included in a deal to bring Murillo to Stamford Bridge.

Armando Broja

Arguably the most obvious candidate for Chelsea to consider is striker Armando Broja. football.london understands that the Blues are aiming to sell the striker on a permanent basis this summer, with him valued at £35m.

Having crashed out of Euro 2024 with Albania, a decision over his future will be pushed in the next month. Despite there being interest, offering Forest his services as part of their deal for Murillo could drastically drop the £50m valuation of the centre-back.

Trevoh Chalobah

Academy graduate Trevoh Chalobah has been on the transfer list for some time. Despite coming back into the Chelsea team under Mauricio Pochettino, the centre-back is incredibly likely to depart should Murillo sign.

Chalobah is already behind Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill in the pecking order and we are yet to learn whether he will be in Maresca's plans. Valued at just £10.9m, the 24-year-old could be the perfect option to offer to Forest to replace Murillo.

Malang Sarr

Another centre-back option that Chelsea could look to offload to Forest is Malang Sarr. The 25-year-old has never got his Blues career going after signing from Nice four years ago. After loan spells with Porto and Monaco, the Frenchman isn't expected to be anywhere near Maresca's team.

A forgotten man at Stamford Bridge, the need for all parties to come to a resolution over his future is vital this summer and offering him to Forest to revive his career is the best for all.

Cesare Casadei

A surprising name on this list, Cesare Casadei could tempt Forest. Highly-rated at Chelsea, the Italian midfielder's future at the club is unknown after failing to impress just yet. He was recalled by the club in January from his loan spell at Leicester City, under Maresca, but was only used off the bench.

It remains to be seen whether he will be open to a permanent move but the prospect of becoming a regular in the Premier League would be appealing for him. For Forest, a player of Casadei's potential means there's scope of recouping a big fee for him in the future.
