Chelsea are leading the transfer race to sign Crystal Palace star Michael Olise with three huge transfer updates emerging. The London-born Frenchman enjoyed a superb end to the 2023/24 campaign with seven goal contributions arriving in the final eight games of the season.

As a result of his performances, which helped the Eagles close out the season with six wins from eight games, strong transfer interest has arrived. Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked but the latter appears to be holding the advantage.

Liverpool and Man City are still finalising their targets while Manchester United are currently focused on deciding the future of manager Erik ten Hag before looking at transfers which places the Blues in the driving seat, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Chelsea are long-term admirers of Olise with interest becoming very firm last summer, however they are yet to open talks with Crystal Palace over a move this summer, football.london understands. Tosin Adarabioyo has already been confirmed as Chelsea's first summer transfer and signing under Enzo Maresca.

Though the summer window has not officially opened, Chelsea were able to agree a deal for the defender as he was a free agent upon his departure from Fulham. Crystal Palace now look set to follow the Blues' transfer blueprint with Daichi Kamada to join the club on a free transfer after departing Lazio.

The Japan international has already completed the first part of his medical with the expectation he will be confirmed as Palace's first official signing of the summer later this week.

As an attacker, and one to have already worked under Oliver Glasner, Palace could be preparing for the potential exit of Olise with the addition of Kamada. Central defender Chadi Riad is also expected to have his move to Palace announced soon with it clear Palace are keen to build on their recent progress amid hopes to keep all of their star players.
