Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has emerged as a summer transfer target for Bayern Munich. Last summer, the Blues fought off interest from Brighton and Liverpool to keep hold of their academy graduate with his first season back at Stamford Bridge a mixed one to say the least.

On a number of occasions, the 21-year-old showed why he is so highly-rated, however injuries and being pushed to left-back greatly impacted his campaign. Nonetheless, Colwill is still absolutely part of Chelsea's plans and those of incoming head coach Enzo Maresca.

While selling some players will be an aim this summer, welcoming new signings will also be on the agenda for the Blues with Crystal Palace star Michael Olise a transfer target. The France international is also of interest to Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, but the Blues hold the advantage with a major boost emerging.

With that said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

Bayern interested in Colwill

According to Sky Germany, Colwill is being looked at as a potential defensive transfer for Bayern. Chelsea, like last summer, have no intentions to sell though and it looks as though the German outfit will be looking elsewhere.

Moments after that update emerged, it was revealed that Bayern had reached a total agreement with Jonathan Tah on personal terms which will see him sign a five-year contract. Now, a fee just needs to be agreed with Bayer Leverkusen.

football.london says: Interest in Colwill is hardly surprising at this point and while Chelsea look to have avoided a tense wait with Bayern, it is unlikely to be the last time exit links emerge.

As the Blues are still aiming to sell homegrown players, it is entirely possible that Chelsea's stance on Colwill could change over time if a serious offer arrives. He signed a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge late last year, extending his stay until 2029 with the option for another year.

Because of that, the Blues will likely demand a sizeable fee for his exit but that dilemma at least looks to have been avoided.

Transfer announcement that could impact Olise future

Crystal Palace are already looking at making new signings all while some of their star players are linked to exits. Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze both impressed in the final weeks of the season and as such, several big Premier League clubs are circling.

Around Olise, Chelsea and Manchester United are the two teams locked in a transfer battle. With that in mind, as per Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are said to have the advantage. Palace are also close to announcing the arrival of Daichi Kamada as their potential Olise replacement.

football.london says: Oliver Glasner will be hoping the arrival of Kamada is done merely to add depth to his squad as opposed to being the replacement for a marquee player. However, such an early deal being completed gives hope to Chelsea and Manchester United that they can sign Olise.

The future of Erik ten Hag is also having a huge say with regard to United's Olise transfer interest. Until a decision is made on his future, no transfer dealing looks set to advance with Chelsea given the incentive to try and complete an early deal.

However, there is a potential deadline in place with Thierry Henry keen to have Olise in his France squad for the 2024 Olympics which kicks off in late July.
