Enzo Maresca will be keen to welcome a few more new faces to Stamford Bridge this summer. Since signing Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham on a free transfer, Chelsea have continued to be linked with some big names, like Nico Williams and Theo Hernandez, though attacking target Michael Olise has chosen to join Bayern Munich

Considering their decision to leave the Olise race was a financial one, the Blues may have to cash in on a few players to open the war chest. Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah, in particular, face uncertain futures, with any potential sale going down as pure profit on the books.

For now, though, they both have contracts at Cobham training ground. Nevertheless, the sporting directors will definitely have to make some tough decisions in the next couple of weeks.

So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up the latest Blues news and transfer gossip on Saturday, June 22.

Chelsea target AC Milan star

According to HITC, Theo Hernandez has emerged as a target for Chelsea this summer. The 26-year-old defender has been briefly linked with a move to the Premier League for a while now as he continues to impress for AC Milan in the Serie A.

Hernandez featured 32 times in the Italian top flight last season, scoring five goals and providing four assists. Despite some relatively underwhelming results, the France international impressed and earned a place in Didier Deschamps' starting lineup at Euro 2024.

HITC states that Chelsea higher-ups believe Hernandez would be an 'ideal fit' for Enzo Maresca and his system. The Milan left-back sees his contract at the San Siro expire in June 2026.

football.london says: "Theo Hernandez would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea. A world-class player who would instantly take the Blues' backline to another level. I fear he's not exactly an inverted left-back, though – more so, somebody who's far better at bombing forward and joining attacks. It's not a deal-breaker, though."

Chelsea want Barcelona wonderkid

According to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Chelsea want to sign Marc Guiu. The 18-year-old striker, who sees his contract at the Camp Nou expire in June 2025, featured seven times for Barcelona last season, scoring two goals.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Balague wrote: "Chelsea have asked about 18 year old Marc Guiu, the young FCB striker who had such an impressive start of his career with the first team.

"He only cost €6m and are considering signing him! Great investment, cannot go wrong as his value will increase either at Chelsea or by selling him eventually."

football.london says: "I don't think this transfer is necessary, but it seems like a good deal. Looking back at how Mauricio Pochettino completely overlooked Deivid Wshington last season, I fear Guiu wouldn't want to join Chelsea anyway – unless of course the Blues present the teenager a detailed development plan."
