Chelsea target Quilindschy Hartman keen on Arsenal move as transfer race heats up

Quilindschy Hartman would be keen on a move to Arsenal should the Gunners step up early interest in the Feyenoord left-back.

The Netherlands defender has been tracked by Chelsea and a clutch of other Premier League clubs, with Arsenal now also thought to retain an interest.

The 22-year-old is recovering from a serious knee injury however and will not be back in action until 2025.

Hartman will miss the European Championship as a result of the injury, and hopes to be back on the field midway through next season.

The highly-rated full-back scored on his Netherlands debut in a 2-1 defeat by France in October 2023, and would have pushed hard to make the Euros but for his untimely injury.

A number of Premier League clubs will be watching closely as Hartman works towards his comeback however.

And if he can reproduce the form that helped Feyenoord win this term’s Eredivisie title under now-Liverpool boss Arne Slot, then his services will be in high demand.

Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior have both operated at left-back for Arsenal this season, with Takehiro Tomiyasu also filling in.

The Gunners could be in the market for another long-term left-back option, and Hartman would be among the suitable candidates.

Chelsea are looking to strengthen at left-back this summer, despite having both Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell in the Stamford Bridge ranks.

The Blues have tracked Hartman closely for some time, but his injury means any transfer would still be some way off.
