Bookmakers have named Chelsea as the second favourites to sign Crystal Palace's star defender Marc Guehi this summer, with Manchester United leading the way.

The centre-back has been a revelation for England in their Euro 2024 campaign, contributing significantly to two clean sheets in three group games. Despite the team facing criticism, Guehi has received plaudits for his seamless transition to international football.

Given his performances, it's no shock that clubs are lining up for his signature in the summer transfer window. Guehi started his career at Stamford Bridge before moving to Palace on a permanent deal in the summer of 2021, with the Blues now credited with an interest in re-signing him.

New head coach Enzo Maresca is likely to be keen to add to his defensive reinforcements over the summer transfer window, given the departure of Thiago Silva and the uncertainty over the future of Trevoh Chalobah. Chelsea have completed the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer, but could yet move for another central defender, with Guehi said to be one of the options.

Palace are said to be demanding a minimum of £65 million for Guehi this summer. However, Chelsea face competition from Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Gambling.com's bookmakers have weighed in on where they believe Guehi will ply his trade next season. United are favourites with odds of 2/1, followed by Chelsea (11/4) and Liverpool (3/1).
