Chelsea look set for a busy remainder to the summer transfer window with seven big moves already completed. Five of those transfers have come in the form of new signings with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall the latest addition following Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian, Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu to west London.

With a significant amount already spent by Chelsea, raising funds will be key to making more additions as the start of the 2024/25 season edges closer. With the exits of Ian Maatsen and Lewis Hall handing the Blues in the region of £65million before the PSR deadline, Maresca will likely be keen to trim his squad further.

Returning loanees such as Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Armando Broja are all expected to depart. Meanwhile, Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher, despite their first team impact last season, are also likely to leave with pure profit on the club's books able to be obtained if the duo depart.

With Tosin and Dewsbury-Hall potential replacements for both, a huge update on their respective futures has emerged along with a surprising update on another senior star that could depart. According to The Telegraph, Chalobah is expected to be sold while the futures of Gallagher and Ben Chilwell are uncertain.

Throughout 2024, it has felt inevitable that Gallagher would leave his boyhood club this summer with his contract up in 2025, however that may no longer be the case. Chilwell meanwhile, having endured another injury-hit campaign, has struggled to reach full fitness for some time with muscular issues plaguing him.

The Blues bought the left-back from Leicester back in 2020 for £45million and under Maresca, it is very possible he could struggle to break back into the starting XI. With the former Manchester City coach liking one of his full-backs to invert, Marc Cucurella looks to be the perfect fit for that role.

Toward the end of last season, the Spain international thrived when pushing centrally and his performances at Euro 2024 for Spain has further proven his defensive abilities as a more traditional full-back.

The Blues are also interested in signing a new left-back which also hints that Maresca has already made his mind up on Chilwell. Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez, despite having only joined the club 12 months ago, has been one player linked to a Stamford Bridge switch with Girona's Miguel Gutierrez of interest to numerous Premier League clubs.
