Alexis Sanchez failed to register a shot against Spurs on Wednesday night but Huddersfield are unlikely to prove as effective in stopping him.

Must-have pick – Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United may still be feeling jaded after their midweek defeat to Tottenham, but don’t let that put you off their most premium assets. Yes, they now trail Manchester City by 15 points and the league title is now a formality, but they still need to rack up points to guarantee a Champions’ League spot for next season.

In fact, look no further than Alexis Sanchez as the answer to their woes. He is due to make his home debut at Old Trafford this weekend. We shouldn’t need reminding of his prolific touch in front of goal last season with 24 goals and 11 assists in the league.

Of course, he’s failed to replicate that standard this season after a failed transfer saga over the summer – but he still managed to score seven goals since then and could easily double that tally between now and May.

Manchester United play a dejected Huddersfield team that have conceded at least two goals per game on the road this season, where as the Red Devils have scored the same amount per game at home this season. This match should serve as a good opportunity for Alexis Sanchez to get off the mark for his new club.

Comeback pick – Theo Walcott

Having scored 19 goals in 37 competitive games last season, it was somewhat surprising that Theo Walcott barely featured for Arsenal since August. In fact, his only two Premier League starts have come after he moved to Everton in January.

With it being a World Cup year he had extra motivation to get regular top tier game time. After all this summer may be his final chance to actually play in football’s most prestigious international tournament. This incentive also adds weight to his viability as a fantasy football pick.

In only his second game for Everton he managed to score a brace. Such explosive returns were the norm for him in an Arsenal shirt just before his long term injury in January 2014. Provided that he remains fit, Walcott should be a primary outlet for the Toffees’ goals.

He definitely will be in good stead with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Gylfi Sigurdsson as teammates. Everton go to the Emirates on Saturday. It’s true that they don’t have the best of records against Arsenal in the Premier League. However, the Gunners have been conceding goals of late and what better time for Theo Walcott to prove a point or two than scoring against his ex-club?

Differential pick – Olivier Giroud

In some ways, he was probably under used and underestimated during his five and a half years at the Emirates. Yet, he still scored over 100 competitive goals during his tenure even if he wasn’t always considered Arsene Wenger’s most favoured striker. This may also be the case at Chelsea but given half a chance, Olivier Giroud will score goals.

He has still scored four goals for Arsenal in the Premier League since August, despite only playing the full 90 minutes once. Of course, he’s never scored more than twenty goals in a Premier League season, but he never has been a premium striker in the class of Kane or Aguero.

Like Walcott he is also looking to maximise minutes on the pitch so that he can secure a place for his national team at this summer’s World Cup. With Alvaro Morata out of form and injured, there may be a chance for the France international to start this weekend.

Chelsea play a Watford team that boasts the worst home record in the Premier League, making this the kind of match that can kick start Olivier Giroud’s season and reinvigorate his goal scoring touch.
