Must-have pick – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

With four goals and an assist in his last three games, it’s hard to look beyond the Gabon international as the ‘go-to guy’ for this weekend. He’s proven that he can be lethal in front of goal even without the presence of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the team.

In addition, Aubameyang is cup tied from playing in the Europa League, which means he will be less fatigued than his teammates and fully dedicated to league matches without the fear of rotation. Arsenal have scored forty two goals in sixteen games at home this season.

They are next due to face relegation struggling Southampton who have conceded six goals in their last two away games. This should put Aubameyang in good stead to become Arsenal’s joint-second highest league scorer of the season.

Comeback pick – Harry Kane

Harry Kane returned from injury earlier than expected, coming off the bench for a 16 minute run out against Chelsea.

Having only made only one cameo sub appearance in the past few weeks, it’s premature to say that Harry Kane is back to his best. In fact, there’s no guarantee that he’s still 100% fit or if he will even start this Saturday.

But thankfully with no Champions’ League commitments, he’s had more time to recover than the likes of Sergio Aguero who also didn’t start last week. With news of Mohamed Salah picking up an injury midweek, it’s just the kind of motivation Kane needs to catch up and jump start his challenge for the golden boot race.

Tottenham are due to face a Stoke team with the the worst home record in the league this season. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last seven games. That alone should be motivation enough to consider Harry Kane

Differential pick – Luka Milivojevic

Crystal Palace penalty. Crystal Palace goal! Had it not been for an almost regular recurrence of these two events over the course of the season, the Eagles’s league standing would probably match West Brom’s right now.

The spot kick heroics are in no small part down to Luka Milivojevic. Seven of his nine league goals since August have been penalties. Even more remarkably, he has scored as many league goals as Alexis Sanchez, Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane during this campaign.

Of course, we can’t assume that Crystal Palace will somehow win a penalty in every remaining match of the season. But here’s an interest statistic for you – Jonathan Moss has been appointed as the referee of their next match against Bournemouth and he has given the joint most penalties of any Premier League referee this season – eight in twenty three games.

The Cherries have also conceded the second most number of goals at home this season. All of this is food for thought when considering Luka Milivojevic.
