Must-have pick – Harry Kane

With three goals in his last four league games, it’s fair to say that Harry Kane has rediscovered his scoring touch. Prior to this, if we exclude the controversial goal against Stoke, he hadn’t scored in his last five league outings.

In all honesty, his form is still far off from his peak of scoring back-to-back hat-tricks during the middle of the season. But with the Champions’ League spot now guaranteed, he could revel and have fun in the final game of the season without added pressure.

He’s now three behind Mohammad Salah’s tally and it’s not beyond Harry Kane to score four in a match. The golden boot race may still have a flicker of light left in it. After all, the final round of matches are notorious for being goal fests.

But on a personal level, even a brace will see him break thirty league goals in a season for the first time in his career. I think Kane will want to sign off on a high with the World Cup around the corner. Tottenham are due to face a Leicester team that have only kept one clean sheet since December, which bodes well for him to carry on where he left off and add to his tally.

Comeback pick – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Having failed to score in Arsene Wenger’s final match at Old Trafford, the Gabon international bounced back with a bang by scoring three goals in his last two games.

He’s now netted nine goals after signing in January and is remarkably Arsenal’s second highest scorer in the league despite not being at the club for the first half of the season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Arsenal’s main striker and will most likely remain so for the foreseeable future. He boasts a 75% strike rate and a 60% shooting accuracy in the Premier League. Had he been signed during the summer, things could have turned out differently for the club and for Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners are due to face Huddersfield in their final match of the season, who sensationally guaranteed their top flight status with an unexpected pair of consecutive draws against Manchester City and Chelsea.

They are now due some mistakes and a bit of complacency. With this being Arsene Wenger’s final match before he leaves the club after two long decades, expect a classic attacking Arsenal performance with Aubameyang at the helm.

Differential pick – Mohammad Salah

Mohamed Salah has failed to score in two games in a row for the first time since Gameweek 7 and 8.

It may seem crazy to suggest that Mohammad Salah could be something other than a must-have pick. However, his league performances have gone off the boil of late.

Despite two crunch matches against Roma which resulted in a 7-6 aggregate win, Salah played Liverpool’s last two league games in full but failed to score or assist and in turn Liverpool failed to win those games.

This has put them in a mildly perilous state, as the Reds sit at risk of missing out on an automatic Champions’ League spot if they lose against Brighton on Sunday. I think Salah will start the last league game of the season as he will get almost a fortnight’s rest before the Champions’ League final.

He will also be mindfully aware of adding to his goal tally to deny Harry Kane’s last minute charge for the Golden Boot. Liverpool are averaging more than two goals per game at Anfield in the Premier League. The Seagulls, who like Huddersfield are no longer at risk of relegation, shouldn’t pose any major challenges.
