Hibs and Dundee are both interested in signing out-of-contract Scottish defender Clark Robertson.

The former Aberdeen centre-back has been playing in Israel with Ashdod since last year but left the country amid the war with Hamas. Nevertheless, his club have in fact offered the 30-year-old a new deal to continue his stint with them, but both Premiership sides are also interested.

Robertson may end up having plenty of offers for where to play his football next term with English sides Bristol Rovers and Fleetwood Town both keeping tabs, reports the Daily Record. He has plenty of experience and previously played down south with Blackpool, Rotherham and Portsmouth.

He broke through at Pittodrie but was never a proper regular, with his most minutes coming in 2012/13 with 23 top-flight appearances. He left for Blackpool in 2015 and has since played over 200 times for the three teams in the English lower leagues. Most of those came in League One but there were two campaigns in the Championship.

Dundee boss Tony Docherty was Aberdeen assistant manager when Robertson was there and is keen on a reunion. New Hibs boss David Gray is yet to make his first signing and central defence will be his priority.
