Conor Bradley has admitted that he enjoys being given the opportunity to play higher up the field in a message to Arne Slot that could see him be used in a numerous roles.

A traditional right-back, Bradley started on the right wing for Northern Ireland this week, playing in an advanced role looking to join the attack as much as possible. The Liverpool youngster impressed, scoring two goals in a win against Moldova while once again showing off his attacking prowess as he had for the Reds last year.

The 2023/24 season was a breakout season for Bradley, making 23 appearances while adding six assists and one goal - impressing in lieu of Trent Alexander-Arnold when he had been out with injuries or was rested.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, Bradley said: "Michael (O'Neill, Northern Ireland's HC) doesn’t tell me to go wherever I want but to play with freedom and whatever you feel in the game and do what you feel. I love playing like that, picking up little positions inside and positions out wide however the game is going and it is working at the moment."

Those words are certain to intrigue new head coach Slot, who will surely look to get the most out of Bradley's attacking abilities - looking to be more direct than Alexander-Arnold.

Interestingly, Alexander-Arnold too faces an intriguing situation, with him set to play in midfield for England at the European Championship games while many believe his future could be in a more advanced role.

While both have played at right-back throughout their careers so far, they could find themselves being used in advanced roles, with Alexander-Arnold as a defensive midfielder and Bradly as a right forward, should Slot choose to do so.

This might explain the links between Liverpool and Dutch right-back's Jeremie Frimpong and Lutsharel Geertruida, after both had starred with their respective teams last season.

Bradley's emergence will be tough to ignore for Slot as he looks to build his team ahead of his first season, with pre-season set to begin in just three weeks time.

Liverpool.com says: The future of Trent Alexander-Arnold feels key to Conor Bradley's role with Liverpool next season. Alexander-Arnold is going into the last year of his contract, with Liverpool needing to make a move to tie him to a long-term contract.

Jurgen Klopp had used Bradley in an attacking role at times last season, most notably against Chelsea late in the Carabao Cup Final. But Slot must nail down one position for Bradley moving forward. Asking him to play multiple could stunt his growth. We saw Gareth Bale make the move from full-back to winger, don't count out Bradley making a similar position change.
