The fairytale continues. Cori Gauff, the 15-year-old who announced herself to the world by beating Venus Williams, is into the third round of Wimbledon after beating Magdalena Rybaikova on Tuesday.

Back on Number One Court, the American beat her Slovakian opponent 6-3 6-3 in just one hour and nine minutes.

After finding herself thrust into the spotlight, Gauff - who likes to be known as Coco - revealed how she is managing to relax during what is fast becoming her breakthrough grand slam.

“I just watch YouTube videos before a match, it gets me in a laughing spirit,” she told a press conference. “I watch makeup tutorials, vlogging, those social experiments and prank videos.

“Right now I’m going to keep everything the same because it’s working.”

Her explosion onto the professional stage has made her a social media sensation.

“I wasn’t expecting any of this, celebrities were DMing me, posting me and I’m kinda starstruck so it was definitely hard to reset,” she added.

But despite the increased scrutiny, her main focus is continuing her winning streak at SW19.

“They [my parents and coaches] tell me ‘you’ve got another match, the tournament is not over so don’t focus too much on what happened’. My goal is to win it so they just told me ‘keep yourself grounded’ and I think I’ve always done a good job of that because I don’t overthink things.

“Because my mindset improved, my tennis definitely changed. I don’t think was how many balls I hit in practise, it was more off-court, thinking how can I improve myself and improve the way how I act on a court, and it’s definitely been a challenge, but I think I’ve reached the best mentality I can get to.

“You can fake it til you make it, but I’m not faking it right now.”
