CSKA stay 100 per cent after thriller

CSKA Moscow preserved their unbeaten record in the EuroLeague with a thrilling 81-78 road victory over Ghp Bamberg that was settled at the final buzzer.

Milos Teodosic’s three-pointer as time ran out secured victory for the Russian side - their seventh of the season so far.

Teodosic ended the game with 12 points and five assists, while team-mate Nenad Krstic led the way with 20 points. Viktor Khryapa weighed in with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists while Marcus Slaughter netted a game-high 21 for Bamberg.

Defending champions Panathinaikos eased to a 94-76 home win over KK Zagreb to stay within reach of CSKA at the top of Group B with a 5-2 record.

Mike Batiste led the Greek side with 18 points while Nick Calathes and David Logan added 13 points each, but it was a solid defensive display that provided the base for victory and a 24-4 run starting midway through the third quarter proved the difference between the two sides.

Also in Group B, Zalgiris Kaunas saw off Unicaja Malaga 67-65 in Lithuania to record their second win of the season and move level with Zagreb and Bamberg in a tie for fourth place.

Elsewhere, Bilbao Basket downed Nancy 97-75 to go 3-4 for the season and Efes Pilsen toppled Spirou Basket Charleroi 66-62 in Belgium.
