Game 7 of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians gave us some crazy banana pants baseball. It had all the drama you wanted in a do-or-die game with a title on the line.

There was little drama early on, however, as the Cubs built up an early 5-1 lead. But the Indians clawed back and in the bottom of the 8th inning tied the game at six thanks to Rajai Davis’ two-run homer.

In attendance at Progressive Field was former Chicago Blackhawks forward Dan Carcillo, who captured the dramatic blast from his seats.

Sports can be so cruel sometimes, yet — depending on what side you’re on — so damn rewarding.

The joy of Davis’ homerun was later forgotten as the Cubs scored twice in the 10th inning to win their first World Series since 1908. Carcillo also caught the final out on video as well as he sat in front of a celebrating Ryne Sandberg.
