Daniel Peretz won't be signing for Celtic this summer after Vincent Kompany reached a decision on the goalkeeper, according to reports in Germany.

The goalkeeper, 23, has been one of the many names linked to the Hoops as Brendan Rodgers looks to replace Joe Hart between the sticks. He is an understudy to Manuel Neuer at Bayern Munich and only made two appearances last season, so it was thought a loan move away could serve him well for the upcoming campaign.

However, it would appear manager Kompany wants him to stick around after himself making the switch from Burnley. Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed Peretz will be kept at the Allianz Arena and will battle with Sven Ulreich to be number two to Neuer.

It was believed Celtic had enquired about a season-long loan for the Israeli but the new reports say Kompany has made it clear he wants him to stay.

In terms of other targets, Football Scotland had exclusively reported on an interest in Sparta Prague shotstopper Peter Vindahl Jensen, and it has since been reported he is the number one target to replace Hart. Another name strongly linked with Newcastle's Martin Dubravka.
