It looks to be the most important part of Celtic's summer recruitment and they have already been linked to a string of different goalkeepers.

With Joe Hart retiring, a new shotstopper is top of the priorities list for the summer and the club will want to ensure they get it right after being stung in the past with the lies of Vasilis Barkas. The latest name to be mentioned as a potential target is Bayern Munich's Daniel Peretz.

The 23-year-old Israeli made just two appearances last season after signing from Maccabi Tel Aviv as he served as understudy to the legendary Manuel Neuer. BILD is now reporting that the Bundesliga giants are looking to loan him out next season in order to build up more experience.

And the Hoops are said to be one of SEVEN clubs to make enquiries, with Union Berlin, Anderlecht, FC Copenhagen, Nottingham Forest, Real Betis and Villarreal all showing an interest. Bayern don't want to let him go permanently as Neur and Sven Ulreich are both out of contract next year.

Peretz got his Bundesliga debut in the final league game of the season and Neuer had praise for him afterwards: "That was agreed upfront. We agreed if the result allows it we'll do it. Daniel gave the team so much over the entire season. He deserved to get the minutes today. We're all happy Dani was on the pitch today."

It comes after fellow Israeli Liel Abada left Celtic for Charlotte FC in the United States after issues around the Hoops support's backing of Palestine in the conflict with his nation.
